ADIO & Innovaccer partner to provide better healthcare in Middle East

Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has reportedly collaborated with Innovaccer, a health cloud company, to improve accessibility, affordability, and healthcare quality in the UAE and across the Middle East.

Under this deal, ADIO, the government body responsible for attracting investment, will offer financial and non-financial incentives to Innovaccer to assist the firm in establishing its regional headquarters and a research and development hub in Abu Dhabi.

The incentive forms a part of the ADIO’s Dh2 billion ($545 million) Innovation Programme. The deal would also allow Innovaccer to collaborate with local universities on conferences, presentations, and research under this deal.

Speaking on the latest move, Abdulla AlShamsi, Acting Director General, Adio, stated that healthcare and biopharma are the two major sectors the organization looks forward to focusing on as a part of developing sectors for Abu Dhabi.

Abdulla further stated that this is the first healthcare deal and is one of the many in the pipeline.

It was mentioned that through the partnership, Innovaccer will fasten the speed of healthcare innovation in the UAE and the Middle East with its data activation platform, health cloud, healthcare technology solutions, and proficiency in local communities.

AlShamsi quoted that the firm's physical presence in Abu Dhabi would enhance the emirate’s talent ecosystem and enable knowledge transfer.

Apparently, Innovaccer is one of the most recognized names in healthcare cloud data activation that offers connectivity across several healthcare services.

The company’s database and knowledge offer huge potential to enhance the local talent ecosystem while improving the region’s affordability and quality of health care.

For the record, Abu Dhabi’s union with Innovaccer began with an investment by Mubadala Capital in 2019.

It is worth noting that Innovaccer, a San Francisco-based healthcare technology firm established in 2014, has developed a health cloud software platform used by healthcare organizations.
