US based Maidbot closes Series B investment round led by RB Group

Maidbot, a US based company leading the commercial services robotics industry, has reportedly announced the completion of its Series B investment round. However, the company did not disclose any financial terms of the funding.

RB (Reckitt Benckiser) Group, an Anglo-Dutch international consumer goods firm, led the investment round, which also registered participation from Octave Ventures and numerous other venture capital firms alongside commercial and hospitality real estate executives and family offices. Reckitt Benckiser and Maidbot would be collaborating to design and develop innovative and distinguished commercial cleaning solutions.

Maidbot plans to utilize the newly gathered funding to boost manufacturing and enable product deployments throughout Asia Pacific, named Rosie, for commercial buildings and hotels. This robot moves intelligently across the space as it cleans the floors, collecting environmental and operational data.

Rahul Kadyan, EVP of global business solutions at RB stated that the company is thrilled to invest in the US based commercial robotics firm to bring the capabilities of robotics to the global commercial service market. Maidbot can drive substantial improvements to hygiene standards throughout several sectors.

Kadyan further added that from this partnership and investment, the company along with RB would allow more businesses to reassure its customers on the venue’s cleanliness and provide an improved hygiene experience.
