DeepCrawl raises $19M Series B funding led by Five Elms Capital

DeepCrawl, a pioneering technical SEO platform, has recently raised Series B funding worth $19 million, led by Five Elms Capital. The funds will primarily be used for research and development as well as sales & marketing to drive DeepCrawl’s commercial presence in the United States. The company’s funding history, to date, includes capital worth $25.8 million, raised through Beaumont Capital’s angel investments as well as Beringea-led Series A funding.

Various brands are trying to maximize their online presence and capture a significant share of web traffic, which rose by 8% in 2019, to promote their products and deliver cutting-edge experiences to users. Founded in 2010, DeepCrawl has developed a robust web crawler that enables SEO experts and marketers to increase website visibility, fix & diagnose technical issues, and ultimately gain more revenue share as well as online traffic using actionable data-based insights. The company is known for generating increased profitability and has the trust of all 6 major global agency networks, as well as 54% enterprise brands. These firms, which include Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts, Nestle, GroupM, Publicis, Shopify, and IKEA, have employed the company’s technical SEO platform to improve and monitor site performances.

According to DeepCrawl’s CEO, Michal Magdziarz, the company has expressed its elation at raising the funding in the U.S., with significant growth opportunities, with prominent customers such as Instacart, Intuit, and Newsweek, as 60% of its revenue is derived from North America. He further added that the company is focusing on increasing web traffic across dynamic websites through the technology of frequent code releases and increased user-generated content.

The recent funding will also help DeepCrawl integrate engineering and marketing teams, which are key stakeholders, to continuously expand its solution offerings. DeepCrawl’s SEO data is best suited for large enterprises as compared to local-based crawlers, to optimize organic search results by mitigating issues. The company’s enhanced API enables user connection to productivity tools, and allows them to plug custom datasets into dashboarding platforms such as Tableau, Klipfolio, Data Studio, etc.
